A 1968 graduate of Christian Brothers High School, he served in the United States Army until entering the Memphis Police Academy in 1972. While working for the Memphis Police Department he attended and graduated the University of Memphis where he obtained his bachelor degree in Criminal Justice and law degree from Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 1976. He is currently admitted and licensed to practice law in Tennessee and District of Columbia and is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court and numerous other Federal Courts. While his main practice is Wrongful Death and Personal Injury, he also handles Estate Planning, Contracts, Collections and other Business and LLC issues.
A 26 year Memphis Police Department veteran he alternately served as commander of the MPD homicide division, tactical unit, STIS and as the departments chief legal counsel. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the U.S. Secret Service dignitary protection academy.
Clyde Keenan is currently staff counsel for the Association of City Retired Employees (A.CR.E.) and the Shelby County Fraternal Order of Police (FOP)
